Four styles of hand pads are available for individual positioning needs.
The hand pads can be mounted in connection with the Otto Bock modular forearm rests. If no special types of hand pads are necessary, the flat hand pads may be advantageous. These are also to be used as the basis for custom fabrications.
Since modular hand pads are offered in different designs, a therapist or technician can decide which design corresponds to the needs of the patient. A hook and loop closure strap kit can be combined with the channel forearm pad. The hand pads are made of polyurethane foam.
Support surface with built-up arch for the palm for mild to moderate positioning needs.
Support surface with a raised arch support at the palm. This pad encourages slight supination, or rotation on the palm facing upward.
This hand pad support system has a built-in cone for individuals with more involved positioning needs. It encourages supination, or the slight roation of the hand upward, to assist with tone reduction.
The support surface is for individuals with mild positioning needs, and/or to mount custom positioning shapes or support hand splints.
