A wheelchair scale is a weighing scale large enough to accommodate a patient on a wheelchair. The scale provides the weight of the patient on the wheelchair or, using Tare, the weight of the patient only. A wheelchair scale is a convenient way of weighing patients who cannot stand, because they allow the patient to remain in their own wheelchair, where they feel comfortable. The Marsden M-620 wheelchair scale is a platform with a trolley which means this option can easily be wheeled around the hospital or care home. The scale folds up onto the trolley for easy, compact storage.
The Marsden M-650 is one of the more popular wheelchair scale. Choose a sturdy, one-piece platform, a platform with one or two handrails for weighing standing patients, or platform with column mounted indicator. The base has been sympathetically designed with long, gentle inclines on the ramps to make life as easy as possible for the nurse.
