Our range of in situ hoist slings

We offer a wide range of in-situ slings that enhance patient comfort and safety in wheelchairs while reducing the strain put on carers. Our in-situ slings come from Silvalea, the world’s original replacement sling manufacturer -- we work closely with them to ensure we source the best quality slings possible for our clients.

In our range, we offer: 

• The In-Situ Deluxe Leg Sling (Parasilk) -- this sling provides excellent support around the hip and thigh areas as well as full femur support. When hip tapes are inserted, pressure is reduced around the hips and thighs for the user.
   
• The In-Situ Long Seat Sling (Parasilk) -- this sling has been manufactured with a padded roll along the edge of the leg area for additional comfort. It is usually applied on the bed and does not have a divided leg section like the Deluxe Leg Sling.
   
•  The In-Situ Straight Leg Sling (Parasilk) -- this sling has a divided leg section and detachable tape for more comfort in-situ. It can also be ordered with additional chest and waist support.
   
• High Easy Clip Fixing In-Situ Sling (Superfine Fabric) -- this is a full-body patient transfer sling with a divided leg section, allowing for a full cocooning experience. The universal D-anserclip® fixing allows for greater hoist compatibility and offers a simple click on and click off action for a secure lift for both the caregiver and the end-user.

In situ slings are soft and breathable -- ideal for sitting in the sling for long periods of time

In situ slings are designed to fit the tight confines of a moulded wheelchair and are suitable for those who need to sit on the sling for long periods of time. These slings come with head support as a standard and are made from the following fabrics:

•  Superfine fabric: a breathable and less slippery fabric than the Parasilk range which is perfect for smaller patients. The Superfine Plus range is more suitable for bariatric clients as it has a weight capacity of 220kg.
   
• Parasilk fabric: a very thin material incorporating Coolmax fabric to move moisture away from the body and dry the fabric faster, making the patient feel cool and dry.
