Our electric lift chairs for the elderly are designed to elevate and tilt to allow patients to sit on them without much trouble. They feature a control box that allows for its powerful lifting mechanism, thus lifting the chair up from its base to allow the user to easily switch between standing or sitting.
You may find with products such as the Pride LC-358XL Power Lift Chair and Pride 660 Power Lift Chair that it has either a 'Single Motor' or 'Dual Motor'. What that simply means is that a single motor you can raise your legs or recline the backrest; however the movement of the legrest and backrest have to be in order meaning that if you want to put the footrest away then you have to first sit back up, put the footrest away and then recline back if you want.
In contrast to this the Dual Motor allows many more options than a single motor would be able to do. Additionally unlike the single motor, the footrest and backrest can be moved independent of each other and therefore you aren't restricted in how you use your chair.
