The Dar-Avoid commode seat consists of multiple layers of various high quality foams and contouring to allow the seat to shape to the participant. This results in pressure relief to the ischial tuberosity (IT) and coccyx area.
Additionally the combination of the Dar-Avoid with a tilt or tilt and reclince shower commode can aid in achieving a seated posture that's both functional and comfortable for the participant.
This reduces the pressure and shear exerted on the skin and soft tissue, which further assists in reducing tissue deformation for those at high risk of skin break down.
