SYDNEY: Picking the Right Manual Wheelchair Frame & Jay Seating Solutions

Learn how to prescribe and configure manual wheelchairs to maximize independence, function and long-term health with avoidance of overuse injuries.

Topics will include frame selection and configuration to promote safe, functional independence in an active manual wheelchair. We’ll experience, through trial and interaction, how different frame styles and set-ups affect propulsion, comfort and, ultimately, client function.

Come Ready for Action- this course is jam-packed with hands-on learning opportunities.

The second half of this event will have you become an expert in the Jay Portfolio of cushions, backrests and headrests.

This jam-packed course will quickly review the Science of Seating before detailing what the Jay Line can offer for skin protection and posture promotion.

We’ll cover how to manage postural issues and modifications available through the Jay Your Way program.
